Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ9:30 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Cincinnati is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Cincinnati follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We ordered dinner from Johnny Chan 2 in Harper's Point, but the food was a major disappointment. It was highly apparent that we were served old, dried-out fried rice that seemed like it was left over and reheated from the lunch buffet rather than being made fresh. βI should have said something to the staff immediately, but we had just spent a long, stressful day in the ER with my father-in-law and I simply didn't have the energy for a confrontation at the time. However, for the price of a dinner entree, the quality should be much better. We likely won't be returning.

I work and frequent the area for lunch options. I decided on something different and came here for lunch to order takeout. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I ordered chicken and vegetables, egg rolls and fried rice. The wait was about 15 minutes. The chicken and vegetables was piping hot and fresh. The fried rice was old, it was very cold and hard and dry. It was so bad that I took a bite and it was crunching in m mouth. It was without a doubt undercooked and old. Rice should be tender and moist I was incredibly disappointed. Itβs hard to find Asian restaurants that prepare fresh rice and for the price of $19 for a lunch meal and the wait time I expected to have fresh food. The prices for lunch are high compared to other places, however, I contribute that to the area itβs located in. I will probably not return here to eat, itβs never okay to serve old, undercooked, hard, dry food to anyone.

Not all Chinese restaurants are the same. And each one has its specialities. This one does a very good job in what they specialize, which is Guangdong/Shanghai style dish. What that means is that their speciality is not Sichuanese. So if you go there, you should order Guangdong/Shanghai food not Sichuanese. They do a phenomenal job with that dish. You should get: - Shanghai Style Eggplants - Moo Goo Gai - Sizzling Seafood Combination (Any seafood menu was good from my experience) These are not the best: - Mapa Tofu or Double Cooked Pork (they are Sichuanese dish)

Johnny Chan feels like a family-owned business in a fantastic neighborhood. β¦. Quiet, clean, prompt and inviting. The prices are very reasonable and portions generous. Itβs one of the few places where you can actually hear yourself and others talk. Love that! β¦ My only suggestion is giving the decor a makeover. Fresh paint and an inviting Asian theme in the restroom.

Friendly staff and nice presentation of your favorite American Chinese dishes. Large dining area and well stocked bar round out a solid option in Harper's Point. We would have liked the food spicier (we asked for very spicy) but the chili and hot mustard dressed it up nicely.
